Job Overview
Lead our Purchasing & Supplier Management team, supporting our Danbury and Winsted plants, with clear strategies and strong decisions to drive operational excellence and supplier partnerships.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the assigned organizational unit
- Monitor and establish performance metrics to ensure effective purchasing activities across all levels
- Guide and expand the supplier base focusing on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets
- Collaborate in make-or-buy decisions for sourcing optimization
- Manage planning, prioritization, and allocation of resources and budgets within the department
- Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes
Your Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable field
- 7+ years of experience in purchasing and supplier development in a manufacturing or production environment
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a group leader or manager role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish and monitor performance metrics
- Excellent decision-making and resource management capabilities
- Proficient communication skills and a leadership mindset suitable for managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
- External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
