Your Key Responsibilities
- Acquisition and verification of customer requirements for packaging, designation, container management (logistics) and if necessary, forwarding to respective department for further inspections.
- Design packaging solutions that protect and preserve product for suppliers, internal, OES customers, Distributors and inter-plants during transportation, storage, and handling.
- Conducting feasibility studies, testing and analysis to determine the suitability of packaging solution for specific products for OES and Aftermarket business.
- Ensure consistency and quality of packaging for suppliers, internal, OES customers, Distributors, and inter-plants.
- Internal coordinate with Production/ Assembly, Production Logistics, Container Management, Purchasing Department/ Sales, SLE, Logistics Planner, Transportation Planner, Schedulers, Packaging Development regarding all packaging issues.
- Generation and administration of SAP master data for all packaging issues (packaging regulations, assessments, RFMM material master (ERZE, LEIH, VERP), info records of customers material as well as administration of customer portal.
- Calculation of packaging costs (material and handling, logistics) based on data from logistics planning and packaging development for VLS.
- Keep monitoring packaging cost of VLS products to achieve KPI and report to supervisor.
- Initiate packaging cost saving project and logistic improvement concept.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in product designing, packaging, or related engineering fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in packaging design and development.
- Strong knowledge of packaging technology.
- Understanding of sustainability and environmental issues related to packaging.
- Experience with packaging related software.
- Ability to work collaboratively or individually.
- English, fluently spoken and written.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
