Your Key Responsibilities
1. Lead production activities to ensure that products meet all requirements and to achieve KPIs agreed.
2. Determine manufacturing priorities to match weekly production schedules and make respective assignments.
3. Direct personnel actions, including selection, training, performance appraisal and safety procedures.
4. Direct routine equipment set-up and maintenance and check for accomplishment.
5. Establish instructions and refine procedures, when necessary, in order to contribute to improvements in QCD.
6. Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and safe work habits in all employees
7. Responsible for creating a motivating atmosphere of trust and open communication where:
8. Employees are engaged and actively participating in performance improvement
9. Support PL in communication of production goals, KPI’s to production workforce
10. Take ownership and responsibility for the performance of the team
11. Monitors and evaluates KPI goals for the work area and holds each individual accountable for performance
12. Uses an effective compelling dashboard as a means of feedback on KPI’s Position Description
13. Meets regularly (min. once per week) to review performance
14. Addresses performance issues with PL in related meetings with employee
15. Provides recognition and rewards related to performance goals
16. Responsible for maintaining a competent, skilled work group.
17. Trains new employees using approved training model / material provided by Training and Development
18. Trains current employees related to refresher training/new procedures/new equipment/performance etc.
19. Responsible for maintains all training records of employees and insuring certifications are current
20. Monitors absenteeism – supports PL in appropriate disciplinary action when needed
21. Evaluation of employees – Provides feedback to manager for employee evaluation purposes and attends performance feedback
Your Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prefer 2 year Technical degree • will consider OTJ experience with Schaeffler •
•Will consider 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing
• Experience as a multi skilled operator in his/her area of responsibility
• Good knowledge of production processes, measurement and inspection procedures, production planning and control, MS-Office and SAP
• Ability to work with others, collaborate and use persuasion to accomplish the work
• Familiar with computer programs
• Strong communication stills and able to resolve conflict
