Your Key Responsibilities
- Realizes development, implementation and optimization of production technology for production of new and existing Schaeffler products.
- Develop, validate and implement production technologies.
- Improve production technologies in terms of quality, cost and robustness.
- Initiate and coordinate development of production machines and tools.
- Supports/enable production department to realize production (hand-over, training and troubleshooting)
- Validate machines and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and indirect areas.
- Support/enable production or production departments to realize production (hand-over, training, trouble-shooting).
- Train and guide engineering team in technology and best practices for metal forming and processing applications
Your Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering or Technical Degree with equivalent experience in manufacturing
- Minimum 5 to 10 years in metal forming experience
- Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting production machinery (forming, grinding, heat treatment, automated assembly, induction)
- Advanced knowledge of metal forming simulation and tool optimization process for deep drawing stamping, piercing, forging or machining operations
- Prefer international/regional training/experience from Schaeffler locations
- Prefer six sigma green belt certification or desire to obtain
- Ability to use critical thinking to solve complex machine and tooling challenges
