Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to established methods, guidelines, and procedures to meet or exceed agreed KPIs, including quality, productivity, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and approve production orders with effective allocation of operational resources, ensuring fine-scheduling and optimal sequencing to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain availability and functionality of production infrastructure, including tools, maintenance services, and setup operations, to support uninterrupted production flow.
- Propose and implement procedural or organizational improvements to enhance Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on KPI performance for the area, holding Team Leaders and their teams accountable through regular Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings and feedback sessions.
- Foster a motivating and trusting work environment with open communication, effectively communicating standards, objectives, and expectations to Team Leaders.
- Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing safe work habits and compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage workforce planning by monitoring staffing levels, ensuring appropriate labor complements, and making adjustments as necessary.
- Participate actively in employee performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes to develop team capabilities and solve operational problems collaboratively.
- Support engineering initiatives and projects, manage budget allocations efficiently, and utilize available resources to optimize overall operational effectiveness.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with prior leadership or supervisory roles preferred
- Understanding of production processes and systems, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing and motivating production teams to achieve operational goals
- Solid knowledge of measurement & inspection procedures, production planning & control, budget process, MS-Office and SAP
- Experience and knowledgeable of Safety and Health systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that optimize production processes
