Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage ordering processes and bookings to guarantee that product manufacturing aligns with the agreed specifications during the order freeze period.
- Ensure product manufacturing adheres to specifications outlined in the production order closure.
- Secure capacity through labor and machine availability, based on rolling plans.
- Optimize machine sequencing on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Verify that production orders are accurately booked and conform to current delivery schedules.
- Monitor and assess order costs in relation to quality standards.
Your Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associate’s degree, or a high school diploma with proven relevant experience
- Experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of manufacturing routings, bills of materials (BOM), and QS/TS 9000 requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications, including mainframe systems, PC-based software, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of plant operations
- Ability to utilize scheduling reports to ensure on-time shipments
- Capable of understanding and adapting manufacturing procedures and timelines
- Able to lift moderately heavy items as required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in business or similar
- Multiple years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
- SAP knowledge
