Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the activities in the Gage Lab pertaining to documentation, adherence to procedures, equipment procurement and calibration metrics reporting.
  • · Support the Quality Manager in the implementation and monitoring of department activities related to measurement systems
  • · Provide budget requirements to Quality Manager and monitor expenses to budget related to gages and measurement equipment.
  • · Prepare capital equipment requests (CER’s) for new equipment procurement.
  • · Coordinate calibration services: approval, consolidation, quality.
  • · Develop local metrology and calibration work instructions, methods, and techniques that comply with the guidelines established by Central Quality-Metrology.
  • · Participate in new launches offering technical advice on recommended gages, measurement systems, and non-destructive testing.
  • Perform technical analysis of measurement problems and provide robust solutions.
  • · Ensure that Gage Lab equipment maintenance and calibration programs are maintained and that production operational requirements are met
  • · Helps meet local, regional and global key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • · Communicate effectively with all coworkers consistent with company procedures and LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS
  • · Promote and support company policies, guidelines and mission statements
  • · Adherence to export control regulations and policies
  • · Comply with safe work practices: report unsafe working conditions, review any safety issues in operations, report all first aid incidents
  • · Adherence to Environmental Management System guidelines, legal compliance, minimizing environmental impact, pursuing preventative measures

Your Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 
  • · Three years’ experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • Experience working in functional and cross-functional teams
  • · Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently
  • · Able to read and interpret blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • · Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Preferred:

  • Proficient in a wide variety of gauging techniques including standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators), optical comparators, form-measuring equipment, surface finish.
  • · Understands proper set-up and mastering of gaging equipment.
  • · Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality tools.
  • · Experience in ERP, preferably SAP
  • · Knowledge of AIAG manuals (PPAP, APQP, QSA, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process control (SPC), FMEA) and related industry standards
