Field Service Sales Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Generates sales leads and business by providing technical advice and designing technical solutions according to requirements for assigned customers in a market segment.
  • Contributes to budget planning process, and plans own revenues and customer prospects for the assigned market segment.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships in order to materialize business opportunities.
  • Consults with clients on technical solutions, analyzes and develops respective specifications for its realization.
  • Prepares and conducts negotiations (in terms of product specifications and functionalities, quantities, pricing, other commercial conditions) and closes the contract.
  • Stays abreast with relevant technologies, establishes and maintains network with (potential) clients, partners, universities, associations and other institutions.
  • Acts as responsible person for the solution design in the sales projects based on the Schaeffler "I4.0 - Service Solutions Portfolio"
  • Takes up co-responsibility to achieve sales targets in the assigned Region (Orders received, Gross Margin)
  • Sets up local service partner strategy in alignment with I4.0 strategic targets

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master level education in relevant technology area
  • Several years of service solutions consultancy experience in international industrial B2B environment (eg Industrial Condition Monitoring)
  • Several years of Tech Sales experience for Service Solutions to industrial B2B customers
  • Experience especially in industrial software based solutions business
  • Good analytical and strategical skills, assertiveness
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, experience in building up business is a plus
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good negotiation skills, able to convince the technical people about our solution
  • High social and intercultural competence
  • Fluent in at least two languages (mandatory: English, German or other languages are a plus)
