Your Key Responsibilities
• Administrate, maintain the Schaeffler Exchange Online infrastructure / Exchange Hybrid Mode.
• Administrate, maintain the Schaeffler SMTP Gateways based on Postfix infrastructure (Linux based) & AWS SES Service.
• Administrate, maintain the Schaeffler Microsoft 365 Defender for Office infrastructure.
• Maintaining and further development of security configurations to increase the mail protection
• Implementation/Optimization of Microsoft Defender for Office, SMTP Authentication, Email encryption
• Diagnoses and isolates problems and provides resolution.
• Optimization of our daily business activities with automation and scripts
• Works closely with business analysts, international colleagues and vendors/customers to gather requirements in order to ensure the customer’s business needs and expectations are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Prepare and modify technical documentation.
• Research and evaluate new functions and applications as appropriate.
• Reports on progress, issues and problems to the supervisor; providing lessons learned and giving suggestions to optimize the work processes.
• Participate in the design, specification, and implementation of business and technology projects.
Complementary Cross Domain Skills (Secondary):
• Working with modern collaboration tools like JIRA or Confluence for documentation of our solutions and understanding agile principles for structured work like Kanban or Scrum.
• Networking – Especially within larger organizations with cloud-based applications
• End User Services – With strong understanding of, and preferably solutioning skills on Enterprise Service Desk (Service Now).
• Support of users in case of issues with our tools and services (incident & problem management within Service Now)
• Current IT Trends/ Industry Players
• Project Management
Your Qualifications
Education:
• Degree or other diploma in Computer Science or information technology or a comparable training in communication technology and electronics
• Good communication skills verbal and written (primarily English), German skills would be an advantage
Experience:
• 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• multi-year experience in Email Security topics
• Microsoft 365 experience
• Exchange Online expertise
• Exchange OnPrem 2016 (Hybrid Scenario) knowledge
• Extensive PowerShell experience
• Cloud services (Microsoft Entra/Azure, Amazon Web Services)
• Linux system (AMI)
• Development of solution strategies
• Implementing ITIL based processes in companies
• Strong interaction with the business
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in agile methods
