AI Data Scientist

General Information

We are looking for an AI-focused Data Scientist to drive the development of intelligent software, analytics, and AI products within Industrial Lifetime Solutions.

While the role includes core data-science activities such as data preparation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, its primary focus is the design, development, validation, and operationalization of Artificial Intelligence solutions.You will build advanced machine-learning models -including deep-learning approaches- to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in industrial data and translate these capabilities into scalable, production-ready applications.

You will collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, product managers, business analysts, and domain experts to ensure AI solutions address real business and customer needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and optimize AI and machine-learning models, including deep-learning models where appropriate.
• Apply AI techniques to detect patterns, anomalies, trends, and predictive signals in complex industrial data.
• Collect, clean, structure, and prepare data from multiple sources for AI-model development.
• Build, validate, deploy, and maintain predictive and intelligent models.
• Test, tune, and continuously monitor AI-model performance, reliability, accuracy, robustness, and potential bias.
• Support the integration of AI models into production software systems in collaboration with software and data engineering teams.
• Apply statistical analysis and data-science methods to support model development and business decision-making.
• Create clear visualizations and communicate complex AI insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with product roadmaps, customer needs, and company objectives.
• Contribute to the continuous advancement of AI, analytics, and software products.

Your Qualifications

• University degree in  Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a comparable discipline.
• Demonstrated practical experience in machine learning and AI model development.
• Strong programming skills for data processing, analysis, and AI-model development.
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and model evaluation.
• Experience working with data throughout the full AI lifecycle—from data preparation and experimentation to deployment and monitoring.
• Familiarity with data visualization and the ability to communicate findings clearly.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to explain AI concepts and results to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of German is an advantage.
• High willingness to collaborate within an international team, demonstrating flexibility across topics and tasks.
• Ability to operate in a structured, analytical, strategic and independent manner.
