Your Key Responsibilities

Project-related sourcing strategy

  • Responsible for definition and execution of project-related sourcing activities, aligned with Category Manager
  • Responsible for supplier selection incl. early involvement of suppliers, RFx, aligned with Category Manager
  • Supports make-or-buy analysis

Cost management & budget control

  • Negotiation of project-specific conditions in alignment with Category Manager
  • Contracts: ready-to-sign project-specific conditions aligned with Category Manager
  • Alignment with sales to ensure, that supplier agreements are in line with to commercial agreements of customer
  • Takes responsibility for purchased parts BOM cost evaluation, validation and alignment as part of acquisition phase and PPA

Project coordination

  • Represents the purchasing department in Product Development Projects and ensures the external delivery at start of production (SOP)
  • Detects and manages project-related risks of purchased parts (e.g., change request, capacity, ramp-up risks)
  • Track and evaluate project-related changes (of purchased parts)
  • Early involvement of plant and plant purchasing and realization of handover to production plant
  • Act as purchasing representative for assigned Project and take overall responsibility of the purchasing activities.
  • Manage and lead, purchasing project team for all projects (New Development/ Transfer projects) and ensure Project targets ( Quality/ Quantity/ Time line)  are met from purchasing side

Your Qualifications

  • Good experience and knowledge in purchasing affairs and production process
  • Knowledge in Cost Estimation
  • Strong commitment to business targets
  • Capable to manage complex projects
  • Good Strategically thinking
  • Project Management skills
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing
  • Good Communication skills on an international basis
  • Knowledge in SAP, ERP, ...
