Your Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine lab procedures to test the conformity and quality of materials, (semi-) finished parts or products or returned products, at all stages of the supply chain process.
- Perform a wide range of quality analyses, according to given specification and procedures, relate to metrology, phys. and chem. testing, returned parts/warranty analysis.
- Report on stated failures and take or initiate appropriate actions.
- Document results of test procedures in the systems and support interpretation together with superior.
- Carry out calibration and maintain functionality of laboratory tools and equipment.
Your Qualifications
- Vocationally trained
- 1 to 3 years
Requirements:
- Education with Technical Background
- Basic English in verbal & written.
- Experience in field of incoming inspection, claim management
- Experience in Supplier sampling process ( PPAP)
Main Tasks:
I) Incoming goods inspection
- Assignment of inspection orders to internal and external parties
- Escalation to SQE in the case of deviations (not approved) that result in blocking of the material and/or a line stoppage
- Identification check, visual and dimensional inspection of externally purchased parts in
accordance with relevant specifications
- Coordination with the relevant specialist department if defects are found
- Coordination with the Design department and relevant QA departments with regard to
part approval processes, and SQE
- Removal of samples for processing in accordance with the current drawing and
applicable inspection specifications
- Partial responsibility for adherence to IATF 16949 specifications, and all other
regulations in the department
- Proficiency in using all measuring devices or measuring equipment required for performing tasks in Central Goods Inwards => Entry of measuring devices in Q matrix and training matrix
- Recording and processing of all relevant KPI of incoming goods (number of complaints,
ppm relevant bad part quantities, number of special releases, number of reminders,...) latest at every month end and provision for SQE.
II) Coordination of complaints
- Clarification of reasons for complaints (defect, deviation from specification, drawing)
- Decisions about complaints: Reject or accept
- Making decisions regarding usage with the specialist department (Development) in
Production and QA, and carrying out postings in SAP
- Clarification of the situation with the supplier (Q) in cooperation with the
Scheduler responsible (D), Master Planning & Logistics or/and SLE with regard to goods in the pipeline and material used by the supplier
- Initiating special approval in cooperation with SQE if required
- Initiating and supporting sorting measures by the supplier undertaken by sorting
companies approved by Schaeffler if required
- Definition and documentation (D3) of all immediate internal and external measures
by the supplier
- Determination of specific defect quantities (ppm-relevant) with the supplier
- Tracking of measures by the supplier for completion of the 8D report over time
- Involvement of/submission to the SQE for specialist assessment of the content from D4
III) Sample inspection coordinator
- Formal inspection of sampling (format, completeness, accuracy, deviations)
- Summarizing all inspection results (list for SQE)
- Forwarding with recommendation regarding an approval decision to SQE
- Tracking of requirements (in the event of a “release” decision on usage with requirements) if required
- Initiating special approval in cooperation with SQE if required (in the event of a “reject” decision on usage if the purchased parts are required)
