Your Key Responsibilities

As an IT System Technician for Schaeffler you will have a wide range of responsibilities for our four entities within the Benelux. Together with your colleague, who’s main location is located in Barneveld, you will perform a range of IT operations to ensure reliable and stable service operations, for all assigned IT systems. Your main location will be Vaassen, with one of our entities who will be integrated in our network and systems August 2024, which makes this a good challenge to ensure quality IT service. You will also be required to travel to our other entities from time to time.

As an IT System Technician you support the effectiveness of IT systems, carry out defined and limited change and development orders and you ensure and coordinate deep dive troubleshooting in case of problems and incidents, which you then escalate internally and/or externally to ensure service quality. In this position you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives and, you will participate in IT strategy planning and budgeting. Also, you will be getting the opportunity to coordinate the team of IT System Technicians, which are your colleague within the Benelux and a colleague in the Nordics.

Further responsibilities;

• Investigate (1st level) network problems and contribute to immediate solution measures;
• Provide relevant support regarding the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network systems (Client Server Structures);
• You will be the primary point of contact for all IT related topics and projects within the Benelux;
• 1st Level network- and infrastructure administration;
• Contract administration, including maintenance and (mobile) phone contracts;
• Plan, define and maintain targets for service quality, and ensure goal fulfilment with the corresponding user support;
• End user support for all legal entities within the Netherlands and Belgium;
• Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards;
• Conduct regular training sessions for end-users on new technologies and systems.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for an IT System Technician who has strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and wants to grow into a more coordinating role to coordinate the team. You must have the ability to work independently but also as part of a (project) team and have relevant working experience providing IT support in a complex and/or multi-site organization.

Furthermore we ask;

• MBO IT (level 4 or higher) and/or other IT related studies;
• Specific knowledge on Active Directory, Office365 and Microsoft Products;
• In possession of a valid (Dutch) driver’s license;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English in both writing and verbally.
