Your Key Responsibilities
Location: Schaeffler – Armada, MI (69900 Powell Rd #4030, Armada, MI 48005)
Duration: One-year co-op assignment
Note: Candidates must be able to work on-site at Schaeffler's Armada, Michigan location for the duration of the co-op assignment. External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
Projects and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of digital document control systems and related software applications.
- Assist with updating quality and manufacturing documentation to company standards, including document review, formatting, and uploading to electronic repositories.
- Support digitalization initiatives by helping transition shop floor processes from paper-based to electronic systems.
- Assist with the setup and deployment of workstation hardware and software throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Provide support for quality and production-related software applications used on the shop floor.
- Assist in training operators and end users on digital tools and applications.
- Troubleshoot software and system issues and escalate concerns as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and process standardization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality management system objectives and manufacturing operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs.
Your Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications and digital tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Interested in gaining hands-on experience within a manufacturing quality environment.
- Comfortable working directly with production teams and cross-functional departments.
- Eager to contribute to process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
